These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of typeforexam.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The service
TypeForExam provides a free online typing-practice tool designed to help users prepare for government typing-skill tests (SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, CPCT, Railway NTPC, High Court, State Police, Stenographer, Data Entry, and similar). The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, free of charge, without warranty of any kind.
2. No guarantee of exam results
Typing speeds achieved on the Site are for practice only. We make no representation or warranty that using the Site will result in passing any official typing examination. Official exam rules, cut-offs, and evaluation criteria are determined solely by the respective examining authority. Users should always verify current rules from the official notification.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Site for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to disrupt, overload, or damage the Site or its infrastructure; (c) attempt to bypass access controls, rate limits, or security measures; (d) scrape, copy, or redistribute the Site's content or typing paragraphs at scale; (e) use the Site to create a competing or derivative service without our written permission; (f) upload or submit any content that is defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful.
4. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — other than third-party content clearly identified as such — is owned by TypeForExam or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Site for your personal, non-commercial exam-preparation purposes.
Typing passages drawn from public-domain sources (Indian Constitution preamble, government press releases, Wikipedia articles under CC-BY-SA, Project Gutenberg) retain their original licence; attribution is provided where required. Trademarks referenced on the Site (SSC, Railway Recruitment Board, etc.) are the property of their respective owners; references are nominative and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
5. Third-party links and advertising
The Site contains links to third-party websites and displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and its partners. We do not endorse or control third-party sites or ads, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or the goods or services they offer. Clicking on external links or ads is at your own risk.
6. User-generated content
If you submit any content to us (feedback, suggestions, certificate names), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, display, and adapt that content in connection with operating and improving the Site.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TypeForExam, its owners, operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity arising from or in connection with your use of the Site. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed ₹100 (one hundred Indian rupees) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TypeForExam and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Site.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
